September is tomorrow! The month of August both flew by and passed slowly for me… but I’m ready for a new month to begin. And here’s a new self portrait to further that fresh start.

I’ve been wanting to change it since July, not only to match my current watercolour-inspired art style, but also my new haircut I got!! This is the shortest I’ve ever had my hair and honestly, it’s my favourite out of the ones I’ve had, too~

A last-minute piece I did before Ai-kon!
…Seriously. This is the most last-minute thing I’ve done for Ai-kon ever – finished it at midnight the night before, and printed it the morning we left for the city.

I wasn’t sure if I’d finish it, but I’m SO glad I did. I like how it turned out too. ^^ I haven’t done many persona fan arts, and I’m really excited for the North American release of Dancing in Starlight!! It’s gonna be GREAT.

Also special thanks to SenshiStock for the pose reference – I was really struggling with how to draw them but their stock really inspired this. ♥

Something I drew for this year’s Kagepro Day (August 15th)!!

Together with my sister Siobhan and our friend Rin, we decided to bring some of our old kagepro art back to life by redrawing each other’s art! (Please go follow their art ♥ )

I drew Shevi’s Artificial Enemy fan art for the collab. ^^ Here’s her original version.
It was pretty hard to decide what of Shevi’s artwork to draw. I decided on this one because I loved the expression and intensity of it, and Ene is one of her favourite characters, so yeah~

Usually I’m pretty organized. (Or I try really hard to be.)
Alas, this year’s Ai-kon prep wasn’t like that.

Among other issues I had, I realized at the last minute that I didn’t have enough business cards to get through Ai-kon.
And THEN I decided “hey, I want a new design to match my new art style!” so I… drew one. Turns out last-minute business cards aren’t too fun to draw.

That said, I love how it looks (out of the cards I’ve drawn in the past, this one personally suits me the most). I’m glad I did it.

Ehehe, this is a little late (oops!)…
But thank you to everyone who stopped by our tables at Ai-kon this year!

With all the nice people we met, the friendly familiar faces and the experiences we shared with our friends, my weekend was definitely made. Honestly, the support and appreciation for us and our hard work never fails to amaze me.

SO! Thank you to the Ai-kon committees and volunteers, all the congoers, the artists and vendors, our friends and table helpers for making our experience what it was. THANK YOU!!
This shaped up to be one of my favourite Ai-kons, personally, and it wouldn’t have been the same without you. ^^
