Aww… a Thursday without Yuru Camp. I’m going to miss it more than I thought I would.
It was so cute and relaxing, I looked forward to watching it each week.

I really liked Nadeshiko and Rin. uwu Especially Rin, she had a good aesthetic sense~
Their relationship was pretty sweet too.

Happy first day of spring everyone!! It’s an important day for me in many ways. Although we Manitobans still have snow on the ground and it’s even snowing today (yuck) it’s a promise that winter HAS indeed ended and the weather will turn warm again and the days will have more sun.

I haven’t been able to draw much for the past while, so this is a picture I drew for my friend Tori’s birthday in February. It’s her character, Celeste, who loves nature and photography. ^^

I’ve been watching my sister play Final Fantasy XV recently.
So far, Prompto is definitely one of my favourites of the boys, alongside Ignis.
This is a fairly quick picture (completed it in an evening) and I kind of want to draw all four boys with flowers like this but I’m not sure if I’ll get around to it!

My mom gave me The Art of Persona 5 for Christmas, and I have to say, I really love that book.
Though there’s a lot of good information, concept art and story development in the book, I found the sketches to be particularly inspiring.

I’m very much a perfectionist in all parts of my life and it’s easy for me to get lost in the details. When it comes to art, often I want a certain amount of polish to what I post. I don’t think this way with other people’s art, yet I do with mine… it’s frustrating and suffocating, sometimes. I’m always working at easing up on wanting things perfect, but it takes time and sometimes, extra reminders.

Which is sort of what the sketches in this art book did for me – they were a reminder. The concept sketches were very rough, they have mistakes, often lack colour or even shading etc etc etc – but they also had emotion, movement, weight to them… I can’t really explain it. But it was a nice reminder that unfinished works have worth too. It moved me somehow, so I snuck some time Christmas day to draw this. : )

Also, I love P5 and there’s probably gonna be more fanart for it from me in the near future!!

So, this week I have a doodle inspired by one of my favourite outfit combinations in Animal Crossing New Leaf (with some liberties taken :P). Sometimes I customize it to include black jeans and a black cap as well. I meant to include some glasses but I forgot to.

Still hyped about Pocket Camp, it has me playing ACNL until it comes out!! @_@

A doodle I drew a while back of Link from Breath of the Wild. Don’t remember much of my thought process for this; I think I just wanted to experiment with slightly different colour/lighting than I normally use. I love botw so much though, it’s SUCH a good game aaa

Sketch of Reiko from Natsume’s Book of Friends. Tried making it look like it was drawn with pencil crayons and other traditional media, despite being digital.
Her kimono in the 6th opening looks so pretty, but also mysterious. I love it! <3

I really enjoyed this week’s episode, but honestly I’m really excited for the next one (Who am I kidding, I’m excited for every episode!). So far there’s been no mention of Reiko or the book… seems like that’ll change with the 4th episode though. Tuesday can’t come fast enough!! ;;

In my opinion, the 6th season of Natsume’s Book of Friends is off to a wonderful start!! I just had to draw a quick fanart. The 1st episode has to be one of my favourite episodes in the entire series. The season has such good openings and endings too!

Been a while since I drew Oreki and Chitanda from Hyouka, though this is still a fairly quick picture… it was nice drawing them again. (It’s a lot better than my last coloured picture of them, despite the fact I probably put less time into this new pic. >.>)

Hyouka has been one of my top-favourite animes for a while now. The animation quality is beautiful, the story itself has a unique pace and the character development and relationships are pretty good too. It’s too bad it’s not more popular.

The past few years I’ve realized that spring is my favourite season. Not without its difficulties and bad weather, but somehow it feels energizing, and gives hope and a feeling of a fresh start.
How cliche is that? haha
