As part of my Ai-kon preparations, I decided to create a tribute piece for Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card. ♥ With it’s nostalgic references, refreshing new content, good music and beautifully rendered animation, it added a lot of cheer to my days when it was airing, so I knew I HAD to do something special.
I wanted to really challenge myself with Sakura’s costume from “Clear”, but I also wanted to show appreciation for Syaoran and Tomoyo… so I designed outfits for them too (and Kero, because we all know he’d be pouting otherwise). At some point I lost track of how many hours I spent working on it. Several hours were probably spent on the lines alone. But I think it was time well spent. ^^
