We started using our wood burning stove to heat the house again recently. It has it’s ups and downs, but seeing the embers in the fireplace really inspired me to draw them~

I’ll admit though, when I started drawing this last night I didn’t intend to draw something with fire, I was actually planning on doodling Rikka from Love, Chuunibyou, and Other Delusions, but I changed my mind after a short while. Also, this new picture reminds me a little of this really old picture of mine… they’re not really similar, but they’re technically of the same character. Ah, improvement~

I originally sketched, line-arted and base-coloured this in ArtRage 4, then cleaned it up in Photoshop.

Edit (several hours later): I looked at this again and saw that it was severely blue, out of curiosity I decided to look at it on my sister’s computer and it looked even WORSE… I know it can’t look good on every single computer, but that was just.. ew. So I just edited it a bit. There’s very little blue now and it’s a lot darker. Hopefully you guys like the edit too. x3

This morning I had an urge to draw Black Rock Shooter. There’s probably plenty of mistakes but this was a rather quick drawing, I definitely wasn’t aiming for perfection. u_u;; I like how it looks though so I wanted to post it.

This month Shevi and I have been watching Hyouka and really loving it. I like Oreki and Chitanda a lot. I don’t feel like this picture really does them or the series justice though; it went rather quickly and I was lazy with the background. >>;; My favourite part would probably be Chitanda’s hair.

Hopefully I can draw something in the future featuring Satoshi and Mayaka as well as Chitanda and Oreki.
I’m also hoping I can turn this into a speedpaint video later on, I’ve recorded it but haven’t been able to sit down and work on that. If I do finish it, I’ll update this page~

Okay, so my first post of 2014 is…… a quickly drawn Kagepro fanart. Interesting. ouo
Though this is definitely not my first finished/quality picture of 2014, and I’m not really happy with the anatomy, but I suppose it could be worse~

I asked Shevi what Kagepro character I should draw, and she suggested that I draw kid!Kano because she drew a headshot of kid!Kido recently. But I ended up including teen!Kano too, because I was inspired by a reference image she sent me.

His younger self is probably pre-Ayano. He’s a kid who thinks he’s a monster, and hasn’t discovered that there’s more to his powers than being a monster; that the colour red (his eye colour) can be a hero’s colour too.
I drew Kano pretty cheerful as a teenager, that’s how he seems to be in the PVs, even if he’s still concerned about the monster within him. Though with him being such a huge liar, it’s hard to say whether his attitude is a front or if that’s actually how he is. >.>
I’m tempted to draw a matching picture of Kido too, if I find the time~

And for those not familiar with Kano or Kagerou Project I recommend listening to Night Tales Deceive (which I linked to earlier in this post). It’s super awesome, and might clear up some of my random babbles about Kano. Or not. I don’t know. :’D

..uurrrgh April, come faster so I can start watching the Kagepro anime!!

My sister’s ghost character, Cassie; I drew her as a stress reliever last night.
She’s annoyed because somebody’s ignoring her. ovo Which happens often, considering she’s a ghost…

In this picture (which is really just a concept), she’s changed a bit since the last time I posted a picture of her (in 2009, gasp! You can see it here.) she has less wavy hair and more insanely curly hair. She’s also a little bit older than she looks (and by that I mean physically, not chronologically, though she’s still older for both). I guess I might’ve made her look a bit too lively, but she actually has a lively personality, so I don’t know. Maybe it suits?

“Can I really place my trust in you?”

Lacey and Erik are connected by events and their past, however they’re they are in their late teens or so when they find out… and there’s nobody to confirm the connection. Soon they figure out that due to the circumstances in the story, they have no choice BUT to trust each other.. even with each others life. It’s no easy feat, but is it ever..?

This picture is basically about that. The picture and “theme” is based off of a picture I drew in 2011 that I never got around to posting, but.. a bit better composition-wise and stuff. u-u
I keep changing Lacey’s outfit asdhjaskd. And I gave Erik a hood because… it makes sense to me. Woo.

I needed to take a break from my current picture today, so I played Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (3DS version) for the first time today. Then afterwards I decided to draw Link and Navi. oAo

I guess I should have added his shield and sword, and Link should probably have a different expression, but asjdhajksdhaksdh I just needed to do something quick and relaxing… orz

I think I’m becoming a little obsessed with the mori girl style. <3 oops. lol. My big picture (that has a similar clothing style OTL) is still in the works (almost finished-ish), but I really felt like doodling today and then this happened. ;u; I sketched it out and then painted on top, like I did for my Aldora and my Kiwi picture. She's a random character. I probably dislike how her hair turned out the most, but it was a quickie so yeah. I'm still not back yet, I just really wanted to post this today. A picture I sketched late August of last year, I remembered today how much I liked it, though it was simple, and I decided to clean it up a bit~ I mostly just “painted” over top of it, hehe..

It’s not very appropriate for summer, but it was hot out today and I wanted to work on something cold-looking. ;_;

And just for clarification, he’s not smoking, it’s just really cold wherever he is in the picture so his breath is showing up like that. xP
