Lol MORE FMA FANART WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME. ;n; ajdhskadjhas
Originally I wanted to do something with Ed, Al, and Ling being all determined and whatever. Then I drew this. But I kinda like this better. xDDD Though the title is laameee.

Ed’s having a bad day. First Alphonse finds yet another kitty he wants to keep. Then Winry decides they need a picture together before they leave for.. where ever they’re going next. And THENNN.. Ling pops up out of no where and starts messing with his hair JUST to annoy him. Like, what? >.>
…Or atleast that’s what was going through my mind while working on this ahahaha.

Last of the fan art for now I think.

Whoa. Something ORIGINAL (in the sense that it isn’t fan art..), isn’t that amazing!? LOL.

Don’t know why I started drawing this theme really. I just remembered that when it came time to draw the dragon, I was inspired by the lolcats. I’m really glad people liked him! xD

Some bookmarks I sold at Ai-kon, of the homunculi from the first Fullmetal Alchemist anime. o3o
I actually sketched these out late 2010 (I think?), but then resketched them and coloured them before the con.

I sold them seperately and as a set~ I’m glad people liked them! : D

Before I start talking about the convention.. I just want to say that I am SO proud of my sister Siobhan right now! @_@ She was a runner up in Princess-Peachie’s mascot contest, out of 64 international entries… (she was the one with the paper doll, runner up #2) I am so unbelievably proud. <333 I knew you could do it, Shevi!! Now back to the con~ (And yes, now that I'll be selling my art there I'm going to give it's name out. xD;; )
This was my display! Which got changed around the next day but whatever. Background is blurred out of respect for the other artists~

My first year as an artist was like.. amazing. I thought it would be boring sitting at a table for the whole convention (I think I only ventured out of the Magical Shopping District like.. three times out of the three days). But it wasn’t boring, it was actually kinda fun… and rewarding… even with the long drive and 12-hour days. I am sooo going to come back next year. Bigger and better! ;D

I got a table near the exit, but that’s okay since I had AMAZING neighbors. : D One was Phynix and the other was Ellen. I also met Emma and Dara. Everybody was so nice~! Thanks to them, I was able to look forward to coming back every day, and I can’t wait to see them again next year! ;u;
My mom also wanted to say thanks for making the weekend so much fun, for being such awesome table neighbors, and for making her first Ai-kon a time to remember.

I’m also impressed with how much space there was in the shopping area. I mean, the last couple years I’ve been there, the vendors and artists were seperate, and were put into tiny rooms where people had to practically push to get through. But even when there were lines formed in the room this year, people could still easily get passed. :) I hope they keep it this way for next year.

Speaking of my art table… commissions are OPEN for those who were at Ai-kon. If you spoke to us at Ai-kon about commissions (or you could no longer afford to purchase more items), you get the special Ai-kon pricing plus shipping. Mom tried to keep track of which artwork everybody was interested in, either by series name or the outfit you were wearing.
Commissions will be opening to the general public after the Ai-kon commissions are completed. : )
Please contact me at sloan@designsbysloan.com if you want a commission!

Also, thank you everybody who at least took interest in my work, and/or bought it! Especially my originals. You have no idea how much I appreciated that.

This year I cosplayed as Edward Elric again. Same version, especially since I couldn’t finish my automail in time. But this year I posed for pictures. >_> There was an AWESOME Alphonse there! <3 And a group of State Alchemists. And a Winry~ They all allowed me to get pictures with them, and I am so thankful. <3 If anybody got a picture of me or my dad (who cosplayed as King Bradley), contact me! And likewise, if you know I got a picture of you, feel free to contact me about that too, and I'll send the pictures your way! :3 For shopping.. I ended up getting some things I wanted - Like an autographed copy of Shilin’s original manga – and there were a lot of things I couldn’t get, but there were some other things I got that I wasn’t expecting/planning. o_o Like Arina Tanemura’s 3rd artbook (she sure has improved.. I already had her 4th one I think. Her art is still sooo beautiful though! ;u; ), some manga, and… Copic markers. O_O
They’re an early birthday present from my parents (though I paid for them a bit, too). I got a great deal on them, and I can’t wait to use them. I think I need to pick up heavier paper first, but you can probably expect some traditional art once I start to get the hang of them. o.o I might even do commissions with them at my table next year!
I also got a bunch of prints and stuff~

Overall.. it was amazing.

Thanks for reading everybody, and I hope you had an awesome weekend!
I’ll be posting (private, password needed) photos of the cosplayers soon, and then I’ll start posting that art I was talking about. C:
